Trustees (Governors)

Since 1st June 2016 Dundry C of E Primary school has become part of the Midsomer Norton Schools' Partnership.

The Trustees have a wide range of responsibilities including:

  • School curriculum
  • Strategic Vision
  • Performance & Data
  • Appointment of staff
  • Health and Safety
  • Policies
  • Upkeep and development of school premises
  • Responsibility for monitoring of school budgets

Some of these reponsibilities are delegated to the Local Governing Body of each individual school within the Trust.

The full Trust meets every term and in additional the Local Governing Body meet at least three times per year.

Both the Trust & the Local Governing Body is made up of staff, parents and co-opted members of the community and the church.

The Trustees & Governors have day to day involvement with the school and have a clear vision of what the school is trying to achieve. They attend Governor days, as well as supporting the school during curriculum days, concerts and social events.  They have a clear knowledge of the school and lead the school strategically, supporting staff and children.
