Conifer gallery

Conifer class had an exciting day at Avon Valley Country Park last week! We began our day by feeding the pigs and goats. We then went to pets corner to hold some animals. We held chickens, rabbits and got to stroke an alpaca! Some of us were brave enough to stroke cockroaches and a millipede! Then we went on some animal orienteering and needed to locate the animals around the park and check they were all in the right place! After lunch we had a play time on the outdoor equipment and went in the indoor play barn. The children had the opportunity to see the animals, the food they ate and their habitat which compliments our current topic 'Paws, Claws and Whiskers.' The children will be writing a recount of their trip and drawing pictures!
A visit from Cody - Ted's gerbils!
Conifer class were so excited to have our parents and carers in for shared learning! We completed a carousel of activities all based around animals. We weighed different animal feed, researched animals on the IPads and laptops, painted our animals and used materials to build habitats! After this we wrote an animal care booklet and shared them at the end of the session. The children thoroughly enjoyed sharing their learning and many thanks to all parents who came!
